As som might know, Hannibal Lecter portrayed by Anthony Hopkins, was voted to the most memorable villain in film history. As I've read the books and seen three of the films, I'm not only gotten scared of him, but also fascinated.
Hannibal is unusal in that way that he has superhuman qualities. He can for example smell that Clarice Starling (another character in Hannibal and The Silence of the Lambs) got a band-aid hidden under her trousers. I'm facinated by him because of his evil - it seems that he doesn't have any "human" feelings left, because of his ability to read people and how he can (at least much thank to A. Hopkins) scare people just by looking at them.
